Our Boat in Guided Fishing Trips

Our boat is a Faster 555 (5.6 m long, made in 2010) with a Honda 90 hp outboard motor. It is especially equipped for fishing charters on Lake Saimaa.
The boat can accommodate four fishing customers. In boat charter use it can carry up to six persons and it can be equipped for charter use by comfortable soft seats.
There's a Humminbird Solix 10", Humminbird C 898 SI and Garmin Echomap 102 SV side-imaging fish finder / plotter combo`s as well as Garmin LVS 34 live unit. The side-imaging system can produce quite graphic images of the bottom structure of the lake and objects and fishes resting on it. Live unit makes easy to locate fish around the boat and making exact casting near them both in bottom and middle water columns.
Minn Kota Riptide Terrova I-pilot trolling motor is used for spinning, vertical jigging and trolling in slow speeds. We ca use GPS anchor to stand by or follow pre programmed routes by shoreline while fishing. MinnKota I-Pilot Tutorial Video!
We also have a detachable ladder that makes it easier to climb in and out of the boat. They can also be used if you want to take a swim right from the boat.


Our Boat in Charter Use
We can offer you three picnic options: 1) Having picnic on the boat. Includes packed picnic and coffee and tea in thermos flasks. 2) Having picnic around an open fire. Includes packed picnic as well as coffee, tea and sausages cooked on the open fire. 3) Lunch around an open fire. Includes packed picnic as well as coffee, tea, sausages and vendace (local small and tasty fish) cooked on the open fire. For dessert we will make pancakes with jam. The packed picnic includes for example bread, Karelian rice pasties, bread spread, cold cuts, cheese, cucumber and tomatoes.
The floor of the boat is upholstered, making it nice for bare feet on a hot day. For boat charter use the back can be equipped with a detachable and comfortable "sofa" for 3 persons. The front of the boat can be equipped with two lounge chairs or a 100-litre cooler box with a sitting cushion on it.
There's a radio/cd/mp3 player system in the boat. You can attach your own mp3 player to it with an aux cable.
Fishing Gears for Guided Fishing
For a more "heavy duty" spinning we use Daiwan Vulcan XX 8" rods and Shimano Sedona 4000 reels with monofilament lines. For softbait spinning we use Yoshino 5.2" - 6.6" rods and Daiwa Legalis 1500 - 2000 reels with braided lines. For vertigal jigging we use Savage Gear Vertical Finesse 6" rods and Daiwa Megaforce 100 TSHL reels with braided lines. For trolling we use 7000 Series trolling reels with 7- and 8-feet rods and monofilament lines. On our trolling trips we'll use rods and lures from six to ten. Our main target fish in spinning are zander, pike and perch.
Fishing Gears for Renters of Cottage Jokiniemi
For the use of cottage renters we have three 4,2 meter boats that are equipped with 4 hp Mercury & Suzuki 4 stroke outboard engines, Raymarine Dragonfly sonar & GPS plotter combos, oars, anchor and rope, life vests, landing net, 6 sets of reels and rods & lures for trolling and spinning and 6 sets of reels and rods & lures for softbait spinning. In the storage you can also find a freezer and equipment for handling fish as well as equipments for coarse fishing. There is no need to travel more than 400 meters from the cottage by boat to find excellent lake area to do spinning, trolling and angling of walleye, pike, perch, and whitefish.

In the storage you can also find angling rods, worms, mash, hooks etc you need for angling in Cottage Jokiniemi. From the cottage shoreline you can successfully do angling and spinning for pike, perch, bream, roach, rudd and ide.
